I used to work with birds like this in raptor rehabilitation. While there were some permanently disabled birds that came through for one reason or another, many were able to be released back into the wild. My guess is that this guy here will get his chance

This is Red. He was shot when trying to protect his elderly owner from being attacked during an armed robbery in his high rise apartment, resulting in Red becoming partially paralyzed. He was at PAWS Chicago for over two years and was just adopted into a foster home. I’m lucky that I got to meet and work with him!

It’s not what you look like that counts but who you do things with.
This dog doesn’t care! He just wants to be a dog. Play in the park, bark at cars, sniff butts; all that fun stuff.
